Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition to Feature Sony IMX555

Samsung will be announcing the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7 series of tablets, Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch, and Galaxy Buds Live earbuds on Aug. 5. The South Korean company is reportedly working on the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition phone. It will not be announced on Aug. 5, but it is likely to get unveiled by the end of this year. The rumor mill has revealed plenty of information on the specs of the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition. Today, a reliable tipster has shared some vital information on the camera of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be arriving as the successor for the Galaxy S10 Lite phone that debuted at the beginning of this year. According to a tipster from China, the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be equipped with a 12-megapixel Sony IMX555 sensor. It is the same sensor that is available on the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus. It has a large pixel size of 1.8microns which means that the S20 Fan Edition will be good at capturing low-light shots.

Previous leaks have revealed that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will have a triple camera system. It will sport a 12-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide shooter of 12-megapixel, and an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. The latter is expected to support 3x optical zoom. For shooting it may feature a 32-megapixel main camera.

Past reports have revealed that the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will be sporting a 120Hz display and it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 Plus. The SoC could be coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The handset may offer users with a native storage of 128 GB.

It was recently revealed that the S20 Fan Edition will have a 4,500mAh battery. It could be the same battery that is available on the Galaxy S20 Plus. It could be an IP68 rated chassis and it may also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
