Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Bags NFC Certification As Rumored Launch Date Draws Near

Yesterday, a tipster revealed the alleged launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. The leak corroborated with other reports that claimed the successors of the Galaxy S20 series will be unveiled in January. If the information is true, the Galaxy S21 series should appear at different certification platforms this month. Tipster Mukul Sharma shared a screenshot of the NFC certification of the Galaxy S21 series phone. It serves as another proof that the S21 series will be made official in January.

The NFC certification reveals SM-G998U model number that reportedly belongs to the Galaxy S21 Ultra phone. It is speculated that the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus have SM-G991 and SM-G996 model numbers, respectively. Apart from the model number, the NFC listing has no other details on the specs of Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The EB-BG998ABY battery that was certified by the TUV Rheinland authority in September revealed that the S21 Ultra could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The huge battery is expected to either support 60W or 66W fast charging.

The CAD renders of the Galaxy S21 Ultra have revealed that it will be coming with a curved edge display of 6.8 inches. The screen is expected to support Quad HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz or 144Hz.

The S21 Ultra is expected to feature a 108-megapixel quad camera setup. There are speculations it could be sporting as many as five cameras on its back. The Snapdragon 875 chipset or Exynos 2100 will power the device depending on the region. It will arrive with One UI 3.0 based Android 10 OS preinstalled. It is likely to arrive in colors like black, silver, and violet.
