Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Battery Sizes Tipped

The Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra were recently approved by the 3C authority of China. Now, a new report by GalaxyClub.nl has tipped the battery capacities of the Galaxy S23 duo.

According to the publication, the Galaxy S23 Plus (model number SM-S916) will feature a battery that has an EB-BS916ABY battery. It has a rated value of 4,565mAh, which suggests that its typical size could be 4,700mAh.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra (model number SM-S918) is expected to house an EB-BS918ABY battery. The publication claims that it has a rated value of 4,855mAh and offers a typical capacity of 5,000mAh. To recall, the Galaxy S22+ featured a smaller 4,500mAh battery, whereas the S22 Ultra came equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.

The report has no information on the battery size of the Galaxy S23. However, rumors are rife that it may come with a 3,900mAh battery. The 3C certification of the S23 trio revealed that they may support 25W fast charging. Since the S22 Ultra supports up to 45W charging, the S23 Ultra may also offer the same charging capabilities.

The publication further mentioned that the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. According to other reports, the S23 and S23 will have the same 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 10-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit as the S22 and S22+.

The report states that the Galaxy S23 series may get an early launch. The S22 lineup was announced in February, but the S23 series may go official as early as January.
