The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones are officially confirmed to launch on March 29. The South Korean company will be holding multiple launch events at New York and London on the said date.
ET News, a Korean media has revealed that the pre-orders of the Galaxy S8 smartphones are expected to run from April 7 to 17 in South Korea. The Galaxy S8 will be released globally on April 21.
Earlier this week, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed plenty of information on the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones that will feature dual-edge curved screens. The Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 5.8-inch screen and the Galaxy S8+ is expected to feature a 6.2-inch display. Both smartphones would be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset.
The SD 835 edition of Galaxy S8 and S8+ would be available in markets like the U.S., Japan and China. Samsung is expected to release Exynos 8895 chipset variant. Both SoC will be coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Samsung is also expected to release 6 GB RAM variants for both phones in South Korea and China.
The Galaxy S8 is speculated to feature a 3,000 mAh battery whereas the a 3,500 mAh battery is rumored to power the Galaxy S8+. Other common features on both phones include 12-megpaixel rear camera, 8-megapixel selfie shooter, USB Type-C, IP68 certified water and dust resistant chassis, iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, and Desktop Mode through a dock,
