Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ Red Tint Issue Fix: Software Update Rollout Begins

Early buyers of Samsung Galaxy S8 have complained about the easily noticeable red tint on the screen. Even though Samsung has said it is not a major issue or a manufacturing detect, it promised the users of Galaxy S8 duo that it will soon release a software update to fix the issue. Finally, the South Korean company has started the software update rollout.

In the recent past, Samsung has said that users can fix the issue on their own by simply adjust some display controls in the settings.  This can be done by navigating to Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Color balance. The company has done a thorough investigation of the issue to confirm there are no quality issue with the Galaxy S8 or S8+

In Korea, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users are receiving firmware version GG950NKSU1AQDG and GG955NKSU1AQDG, respectively,  that brings a new setting in the Adaptive Display screen mode which will make it possible for users to modify “full screen color balance” according to their preferences. Samsung is also expected to release a software update to fix the Wi-Fi connectivity issue for S8 users in Korea.
