Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is believed to be the name of the Samsung’s upcoming foldable clamshell smartphone. The smartphone is codenamed as Bloom and it has a model number of SM-F700. The same device has surfaced on the database of China’s 3C authority. It indicates the phone will be also heading to China.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is expected to go official along with the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones through the Unpacked 2020 event on Feb. 11. As of this writing, there are not many details known on the Galaxy Z Flip phone. The 3C appearance of the device has revealed that it could be shipping with a 15W fast charger. Unfortunately, the size of its battery is not known yet.
Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. The phone can be folded and unfolded vertically. Once unfolded, users will be able to access its foldable ultra-thin glass (UTG) display. There is a punch-hole on the screen for housing its selfie snapper of 10-megapixel.
The size of the inner display of the Galaxy Z Flip could be 6.7 inches. There is a second screen next to the rear cameras. The 1-inch screen can be used to check notifications. There is no confirmation on whether it features a side-facing or a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The device could be introduced with a price tag of around $1,000.
