Samsung launches the Galaxy A42 5G in Singapore with the latest Snapdragon 750G chipset

Samsung Singapore has officially announced the all-new Galaxy A42 5G mid-ranger smartphone in the local market as part of the company’s effort to retain its pole position within the 5G market.

This year alone, Samsung had already launched a total of seven 5G devices prior to the Galaxy A42 5G. The company’s impressive portfolio includes the likes of the Galaxy Note20 5GNote20 Ultra 5GS20 Ultra 5GS20 FE 5G, Tab S7+ 5G, Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, as well as the most recent Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Prism Dot Black

Helmed by the latest Snapdragon 750G chipset, the Galaxy A42 5G is one of the most powerful mid-ranger smartphone in the local market that brings along an ample 8GB RAM, as well as 128GB worth of expandable storage.

It features a vibrant 6.6-inches Super AMOLED panel which employs an Infinity-U design for its 20 megapixels selfie camera. For photography, the device arrives with a versatile quad camera system consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 5 megapixels depth sensor.

Rounding out the device will be a massive 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. In the local market, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is available in both Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot White colorways.

For those who’re interested, the Galaxy A42 5G will be available from 21 November 2020 on Samsung Online Store, telecommunication operators (M1, Singtel and StarHub) and major consumer electronics & IT stores, with a recommended retail price of $498 (including GST).
