Samsung’s Foldable Phone May Debut Next Month

Samsung fans have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the company’s first foldable smartphone. In the previous month, Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh had confirmed that the company’s foldable smartphone may debut by the end of this year. Samsung has recently confirmed it will be holding Samsung Developer Conference in the coming month. It is now being speculated that the company may use the same platform to announce its first foldable smartphone.

On Nov. 7 and 8, Samsung will be holding its Developer Conference in San Francisco, U.S. It could be an ideal timing for the company to announce it foldable smartphone. The reason behind it is that the November launch mean that it would be arriving after all the other rival companies have rolled their flagship phones. The smartphone will have enough time to go on sale.

Some rumors have claimed that the company may announce the its first foldable phone in early 2019. Whether it arrives before or after the Galaxy S10 that is slated to debut in the first quarter of the coming year, its sales are bound to get impacted by the company’s first foldable phone. Hence, the November launch for the foldable phone seems to be suitable timing for it.

The exact name of the smartphone is not known yet. It is expected to sport a fold-in design which when opened will allow users to make use of it as a tablet.
