Save the date: Nubia Z50S Pro is launching on July 20

Nubia has officially confirmed the launch date and name of its next smartphone. The 3C authority in China recently approved an upcoming Nubia device with model number NXJ713J. At that time, it was speculated that it could be a Z50-series flagship phone from the brand. Today, the company confirmed that it will be called the Nubia Z50 Pro. It also confirmed that the device will be announced at 2 pm on July 20.

In terms of specifications, the above poster only confirms that the Nubia Z50S Pro has a 35mm lens. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed any other information about the device. The NXJ713J device was recently spotted on Geekbench, where some of its details were revealed.

The device’s Geekbench listing revealed that it uses a 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is merely an overclocked version of the 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The listing also revealed that the device has 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the device scored 1564 and 5115 points, respectively.

The 3C certification of the device revealed that it may arrive with support for 80W charging. Previous reports have claimed that the device will be equipped with a new primary camera, but its details are not known yet.

In related news, Red Magic recently unveiled the Red Magic 8S Pro and Red Magic 8S Pro+ in the Chinese market. Both are powered by the 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The Pro+ edition is the world’s first phone to feature 24 GB of RAM. The brand recently confirmed that the Red Magic 8S Pro will debut in the global market on July 18.
