Time Travel: OnePlus 12 CAD renders leaked to reveal design months before launch

OnePlus 12 is one of the flagship phones that is expected to launch in the Chinese market by the end of 2023. However, months ahead of the expected launch, renowned tipster OnLeaks (aka Steve Hemmerstoffer) and publication SmartPrix have teamed up to reveal the design of the OnePlus 12 via CAD renders.

OnePlus 12 CAD renders

To recall, the OnePlus 11 5G came with a curved-edge AMOLED display with a camera punch-hole positioned at the upper-left corner. The CAD renders of the OnePlus 12 5G show that it has a curved-edge screen with a centrally positioned punch-hole.

The back panel of the phone has a round camera module with Hasselblad branding similar to the OnePlus 11 5G. However, the new inclusion is the presence of a periscope zoom camera. The camera’s LED flash unit is placed outside the camera module.

OnePlus 12 specifications (rumoured)

According to reports, the OnePlus 12 will arrive with a 6.7-inch OLED panel that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes preloaded with Android 14 OS and OxygenOS 14.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 12 5G will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. It may come with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. It is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 150W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The rear camera setup of the OP12 may feature a Sony IMX9-series 50-megapixel main camera. A 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope zoom camera with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens will be joining it. The OP12 is expected to debut first in China and arrive in the global market in Q1 2024.
