Save the date: Nubia Z60 Ultra is launching on December 19

Nubia has finally confirmed the launch date for the Nubia Z60 Ultra. The brand will unveil its next flagship phone at 12 pm (local time) on Dec. 19 in China. While there is no confirmation yet, it is likely the Nubia Z50 SE smartphone may also launch alongside the Z60 Ultra.

The below poster, released by the brand, confirms the Nubia Z60 Ultra launch date but does not state anything about its key features. Tipster Digital Chat Station has been leaking the key details of the smartphone. Today too, he posted the key specifications of the Z60 Ultra.

Like other flagship phones, such as the Xiaomi 14 series, the iQOO 12 series, the Meizu 21, the OnePlus 21, and the Realme GT 5 Pro, the Nubia Z60 Ultra will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In fact, it will be the company’s second smartphone, after the Red Magic 9 Pro series of gaming phones, to feature the SD8G3 chip.

The Nubia Z60 Ultra will continue to feature an under-display camera like its predecessors. The rear camera setup of the device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel camera, which, according to DCS’ previous leak, will be a periscope telephoto camera.

The Z60 Ultra will pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging and will come with an IP68-rated chassis. The device is expected to come preloaded with Android 14 and the MyOS UI.

There are reports that claim that the Nubia Z50 SE will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is speculated that the said device may break cover with the Z60 Ultra.
