After keeping the fans waiting for several days, OnePlus has officially disclosed the launch date for the OnePlus 12. The brand confirmed through its Weibo handle that the unveiling is set for 7 pm (local time) on Dec. 4 in China. Here is a look at what to expect from OnePlus’ upcoming flagship phone.
OnePlus 12 specifications (rumored)
OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a BOE X1 OLED display that offers a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. As per leaks, the device will be equipped with a 6.82-inch curved-edge display.
Its rear camera setup will have a 50-megapixel LYT-808 primary camera and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with support for 3x optical zoom. For ultra-wide shots, the device may feature a Sony IMX581 48-megapixel camera. For selfies, the device could be equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The OnePlus 12 is expected to arrive with 12 GB / 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It may run on Android 14, with a layer of ColorOS 14 on top. The global version of the device will have OxygenOS 14-based Android 14. Speaking of the global launch, it is expected to debut internationally in January. The OnePlus 12 is likely to draw power from a 5,400mAh battery. The handset is said to support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus Ace 3 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip alongside the OP12. The same device may likely break cover with the OnePlus 12R moniker in the global market.Â
