Nubia has finally confirmed the Red Magic 8 Pro’s launch date for the Chinese market. The gaming phone is all set to debut at 3 pm local time on Dec. 26 in China.
Ahead of the launch, pre-orders for the Red Magic 8 Pro are live in the home market. It will arrive as the world’s first gaming-focused phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform.
The Red Magic 8 Pro specifications are no secret since almost everything about it has been revealed through its TENAA certification. It is believed that the Nubia NX729J phone that has been spotted at 3C and TENAA certifications will debut in the Chinese market as the Red Magic 8 Pro.

The Red Magic 8 Pro has a 6.8-inch OLED panel, which offers a full screen experience as it does not have a punch-hole. Its screen will offer a Full HD+ resolution of 1116 x 2480 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate. It will be equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner and an 8-megapixel under-screen camera.
On the back, it will have a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The device will run on Android 13 OS and Red Magic UI. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip will power the device with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The gaming phone may come in 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh battery variants. It is likely to support up to 165W fast charging.
