Earlier this week, Redmi started teasing the arrival of the Redmi K70 series in the Chinese market. Today, the company rolled out an official confirmation that the K70 lineup will be unveiled at 7 pm (local time) on Nov. 29 in China.
The Redmi K70 series will include the Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro. Reports have revealed that the K70e will arrive with a 6.67-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Dimensity 8300 ultra-powered device will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging. The highest variant of the K70e is said to have 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device will come with other features, such as a 16-megapixel front camera, a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi K70 and K70 Pro are likely to arrive with the same display but offer a better 2K resolution. The K70 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery, whereas the K70 Pro will arrive with a 5,120mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Both phones are said to arrive with an identical camera setup but differ in the primary camera department. Both models are said to support 120W fast charging. All three devices are expected to run on the latest Android 14, with a layer of HyperOS on top.
The Redmi K70 trio will replace last year’s Redmi K60e, K60, and K60 Pro, which came equipped with the Dimensity 8200-Ultra, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively.
