Last year, Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 11 series on Oct. 28 in China. Today, the company confirmed through its Weibo account that the Redmi Note 12 lineup will be made official at 7 PM on Oct. 27 in China.
Past reports have claimed that the lineup will include the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Ultra. Ahead of the launch, the company is confirming the key features of the Redmi Note 12 family. The poster below confirms that the Pro model will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS support.
Speaking of the cameras, the design of the camera module of the Note 12 family will be not too different from the Redmi Note 11T Pro and Note 11T Pro+, which were unveiled in May in China. Some reports have claimed that the top variant in the Note 12 family will feature a 200-megapixel main camera.
The Redmi Note 12 series has already bagged approval from the 3C certification site in China. The 3C listings have revealed that the lineup will support up to 210W of rapid charging.
The Note 12 series is also expected to debut as the world’s first Dimensity 1080-powered phone. With a few days remaining for the launch, Redmi is expected to release new teasers to confirm the key features of the Note 12 family.
