A new Sharp phone with model number FS8018 has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking site. It appears that it could be related to the FS8010 and FS8016 smartphones that have been in the rumors since the middle of this year.
According to Geekbench listing, the Sharp FS8018 is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is driven by SDM630 chipset that includes a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor that is coupled with 6 GB of RAM. In the single-core test, the FS8018 phone has scored 961 points whereas it has recorded a score of 5215 in multi-core test.
The FS8108 will be the second phone from the company to feature Snapdragon 630 as it has already launched the Sharp Aquos S2 with same SoC. The Snapdragon 630 chipset is the same SoC that powers other phones like Motorola Moto X4. Nokia 7, Asus ZenFone 4 and HTC U11 Life.
As of this writing, there is no information available on the launch date of Sharp FS8018. The rumor mill had revealed that the FS8010 and FS8016 would be sporting a tall aspect ratio screen with reduced bezels. The Japanese company is most likely to use its own display panels on the FS8018 phone and it could be heading towards the home country.
