Sony Xperia 5 Debuts in China for 5,399 Yuan

At the IFA 2019 tech trade show, Sony had unveiled the Xperia 5 flagship phone. Today, the Japanese tech giant has officially unveiled the smartphone in China. It has arrived with a whopping price tag of 5,399 Yuan ($758).

Sony Xperia 5 Price and Specifications in China

Priced at 5,399 Yuan, the Xperia 5 comes in four colors such as Crystal Blue, Wine Red, Drill Black and Frosh Ash. For customers who pre-order it, Sony is selling pre-sale kit of the phone that includes a fashion case and a 256 GB microSD card. The smartphone will officially release in the market on Oct. 28.

The Xperia 5 that comes with an IP68 rated glass body has a 6.1-inch CinemaWide HDR OLED display with a tall aspect ratio of 21:9. It offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. The Snapdragon 855 chipset powers the phone with 6 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128 GB. The 3,140mAh battery of the phone comes with support for fast charging. The Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device.

The rear shell of the phone has a triple camera unit that includes three 12-megapixel sensors with hybrid OIS, EIS, 2x optical zoom support and 4K HDR video recording. On the front is a selfie camera of 8-mgeapixel. The handset lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
