Sony has finally launched the elusive Xperia Z2 Premium flagship as an advanced version of the Xperia XZ2 phone that unleashed at the MWC 2018 event earlier in February this year. It has the same ambient flow design that is available on the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact smartphones.
Xperia XZ2 Premium Specs and Features
The Xperia XZ2 Premium is fitted with 5.7-inch TRILUMINOS HDR display that supports 4K resolution. The front side is protected by a 2.5D curved glass and the rear panel is also made out of glass. The Snapdragon 845 chipset powers the phone with 6 GB of RAM. It has a 3,450mAh battery that is enabled with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging capabilities. It has an internal storage of 64 GB and it also features a microSD card slot. It comes loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium is the first Sony phone that includes Motion Eye dual camera module that includes a 19-megapixel 1/2.3 Exmor RS RGB sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 12-megapixel 1/2.3 monochrome sensor with f/1.6 aperture. It includes support for 5-axis stabilization, bokeh effect photography and 960 fps slow-motion video shooting. It has a 13-megapixel 1/3.06 Exymos RS sensor that offers 5-axis stabilization.
Sony is yet to confirm the pricing of the Xperia XZ2 Premium. It has only stated it will be available for buying from summer this year.
