Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium Price May Get Revealed on July 5

The pricing of the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium flagship phone that was unveiled in April this is still under the wraps. Sony Mobile Taiwan has today confirmed that it will be holding a press event on July 5 to announce the smartphone in the country. It is speculated that the pricing of the smartphone may get confirmed at the upcoming press event.

Besides Taiwan, China is the other market that will be receiving the Xperia XZ2 Premium as the company has already confirmed that its pre-orders will kick off in China on July 2. The official sales of the smartphone are likely to begin by late July in Taiwan. In China, it is speculated to be priced around 6,999 Yuan ($1,000) as the Xperia XZ2 is available in the country with 5,999 Yuan ($910) pricing. Apart from these countries, Sony will be bringing the XZ2 Premium in select markets around globe in summer 2018.


The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a 4K HDR display of 5.8 inches. The Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6 GB of RAM are the driving force of the smartphone. For storage, it features 64 GB of native storage and a microSD card slot. It is fitted with 19-megapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera setup and a 13-megapixel selfie snapper. It is packed with a 3,450mAh battery. Like the other flagship phones from the company, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also features an IP68 certified chassis.
