OPPO has announced a new Sunset Rose color variant in several Asian markets including Malaysia and the Philippines to name a few. The new variant comes with a pale pink tone alongside a matte finishing on its rear chassis.
From far, the Sunset Rose variant shares a close resemblance to the Mist Pink OPPO Reno which is already available in the Chinese market – so we believe that the Chinese smartphone maker might have simply rebranded the color for the global market.
Although the OPPO Reno is available in a wide range of color options in the Chinese market, but it only launches two of them for the global market back in April, namely the Jet Black and Ocean Green variants. The Nebula Blue and Coral Orange hues remain exclusive to its home market.
Aside from its cosmetic differences, the Sunset Rose variant will retain the same specs and pricing as the rest of the color options.
Oppo Reno Specifications
For the benefits of those who’d missed out, the OPPO Reno comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution alongside an impressive 86.8% screen-to-body ratio.
The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 Soc and arrives in 3 different memory configurations as follows: 6GB+128GB, 6GB+256GB and 8GB+256GB. Moving on to its camera, you can find a dual-camera setup on the back which comprises of a 48 megapixels (f/1.7 aperture) main snapper and a 5 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor. On its front panel, there is a motorize shark fin-style pop up selfie camera which houses a 16MP (f/2.0 aperture) sensor.
Underneath the rear chassis sits a 3,765mAh battery which is capable of supporting OPPO’s VOOC 3.0 fast-charging. The device runs on their in-house ColorOS 6.0 atop the Android Pie OS.
