Tecno Phantom X Live Shots, Key Specs Leaked

China-based Transsion Holdings smartphone brand Tecno is reportedly working on a new phone called the Phantom X. While the device is speculated to launch in August, a few real-life images and key specifications of the handset have appeared today.

The Tecno Phantom X live shots show that it could be a premium device from the brand. The reason behind it is that it can be seen flaunting an OLED panel with curved edges and an in-screen fingerprint reader. The pill-shaped camera cutout available at the top-left corner of the phone’s screen suggests that it could be equipped with a dual selfie camera setup.

The upper-half of the Phantom X’s rear shell has a quad-camera setup that is accompanied by a quad-LED flash unit. The bottom edge of the phone features a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. The volume buttons and a power button are placed on its right edge. The handset is expected to arrive in shades such as Van Gogh Sky Blue and Monet’s Summer Garden.

The live shots and leaks surrounding the Phantom X has revealed that it has a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is fueled by the Helio G95 chipset and 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

The device has 256 GB of native storage, and it runs HiOS 7.6 UI flavored Android 11 OS. It is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging.

For selfies, it has a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual front-facing cameras, and its rear-facing quad-camera setup comprises of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel secondary lens, an 8-megapixel camera, and an unknown fourth sensor. It is speculated that the device is equipped with a Samsung GN1 lens as the primary camera. As far as pricing is concerned, it is likely to land in African markets with a pricing of around $460.
