Chinese electronics giant Tecno has unveiled a new entry-level smartphone in the Indian market known as the Tecno Pop 5 Pro which carries an affordable launch price of just INR 8,499 (US$115).
Starting with the front, the new Tecno Pop 5 Pro packs a 6.52” IPS LCD display which offers a modest HD+ screen resolution along with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Other than that, there’s also a 5 megapixels camera upfront to help with selfie and video calls.
Over on the rear side, the phone features a rectangular camera module which might look as though there are three cameras, but is ultimately a single 8 megapixels snapper that’s guided by a LED flash.
Under the hood, the Tecno Pop 5 Pro is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset along with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage which can be further expanded by up to 256GB via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Tecno Pop 5 Pro is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery which doesn’t appears to feature any form of fast-charging support. Software-wise, the phone will be shipped with HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go Edition.
