Back in September last year, Chinese tech giant Royole announced the Flexpai 2 foldable smartphone that comes with an outward-folding design just like the first-generation’s Huawei Mate X foldable.
Now, a fresh leak from reputable leaker Evan Blass had revealed that the company is working on a new successor which will most likely be launched under the Royole Flexpai 3 moniker.
The alleged press render published by him revealed that the device will retain the same outward-folding design which some may appreciate since such design typically hides the camera bump better.
What’s different this time round however, is that the Royole Flexpai 3 will be adopting a dedicated pop-up camera to handle selfie and video call on the device, instead of relying solely on it’s rear cameras.
Also, the device will be swapping for a square-shaped camera module on the upcoming Royale Flexpai 3 which appears to feature a triple-cam setup even though it’s predecessor has a total of four cameras at the back.
At the moment, there isn’t any words on the expected specs and features of this forthcoming foldable. Nonetheless, we do expect the device to break cover by the end of the year.
