Last week, Redmi finally confirmed that the company will be launching the long awaited Redmi K50 series smartphones in February next month. Just like last year’s Redmi K40 series smartphones, the upcoming Redmi K50 lineup is also speculated to include multiple models such as the vanilla Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+.
Ahead of it’s launch, an alleged render of the Redmi K50 Pro has apparently made it’s way to the web, revealing the front and rear design of the phone in full glory. The render showcases the Redmi K50 Pro with a flat display which features a centered hole-punch to accommodate it’s selfie camera.
It is believed that the front display will be an AMOLED panel with 6.67” diagonal length, offering a FHD+ screen resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Despite sporting an AMOLED panel, the Redmi K50 Pro is said to adopt a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Moving on to the rear side of the phone, it appears to sport a square-shaped camera module which is home to a triple-camera array with lenses arranged in a triangular fashion. Interestingly, there’s also a 64 megapixels wording etched below it’s camera housing which reaffirmed the presence of a 64 megapixels main camera on the Redmi K50 Pro.
Other than the 64MP camera, it’s camera hardware is also said to include a 13 megapixels OV13B10 ultra-wide camera along with either an 8 megapixels macro camera or a 2 megapixels auxiliary lens.
Under the hood, the Redmi K50 Pro is likely to be the first smartphone from the sub-brand to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Other than that, it could also be coming with a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support.
