Upcoming Huawei Nova 7 series phones were reportedly certified in China

A pair of mysterious Huawei smartphones carrying the model numbers JER-AN10 and JEF-AN00 were recently certified by the Chinese 3C authority. These devices, according to report out of China, are said to be the upcoming Huawei Nova 7 and 7 Pro respectively.

According to it’s official listing, both devices are 5G-ready phones capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. Speculations are rife that the duo will be driven by the Kirin 990 SoC.

Similarly, both devices will also be able to support up to 40W fast-charging as well. It is possible that the Nova 7 and 7 Pro will employ the same charging technology as the upcoming Huawei P40 flagship series since all of them arrive with the same charger model.

Recently, another Huawei smartphone carrying the model number CDY-AN00 was certified by the 3C authority as well. Initially, this device was thought to be the Nova 7 Pro. However, recent developments seem to suggest that the device is more likely to be the upcoming Nova 7 SE instead.

Unlike the Nova 7 and 7 Pro, the Nova 7 SE will be equipped with the upcoming Kirin 820 SoC. It will be the more affordable model among the three.

At current stage, there still isn’t any information on the official launch date of the Nova 7 series. However, it is likely to be announced in April next month even though the Nova 6 series is still fresh from the oven.
