iQOO is reportedly working on a Z6-series phone for China. To recall, the company has launched Z6-series handsets in India in recent months, such as the iQOO Z6 5G, the iQOO Z6 44W, and the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G. Chinese tipster Panda is Bald has shared a few specifications for an upcoming iQOO Z6-series phone for China.
The tipster revealed that the next Z-series phone will come equipped with an IPS LCD panel that will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. He added that the device will have support for 80W fast charging.
He added that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 7-series chipset. Hence, it is unclear whether it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G / 778G Plus chip or the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the other specifications of the device.
The iQOO Z5 and the iQOO Z5x are the currently available Z-series phones in China. Hence, it appears that the upcoming Z-series could be called the IQOO Z6 5G in China. The iQOO Z5 was made official in September 2021. Hence, it is likely that the Z6 may debut in September 2022.
The iQOO Z5 was made available with a starting price of 1,799 Yuan ($267). Hence, it is likely that the Z6 may carry a similar price in the country.
In related news, iQOO is also planning a Neo-series phone in China. The device is likely to feature the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset and borrow other specifications from the iQOO 10 5G. In all likelihood, the next series may debut with the iQOO Neo 10 moniker in China later this month or in September.
