Although it’s barely five months since OPPO announced it’s brand new OPPO Reno6 series smartphones, but the company is now reportedly gearing up for the launch of the Reno7 series smartphones in it’s home market.
According to the latest information from Chinese Weibo, the vanilla OPPO Reno7 5G is expected to adopt a 6.5” OLED display developed by BOE. In terms of specifics, the front display is likely to retain a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as support for 10-bit color depth.
On the imaging side of things, the OPPO Reno7 5G is said to feature a triple-camera system on the rear side that’s lead by a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera. This will be accompanied by an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens as well as a 2 megapixels B/W sensor. At the front, we can also expect to see a 32 megapixels Sony IMX615 camera that helps to handle selfie and video calls.
Under the hood, the OPPO Reno7 5G will most likely be powered by an octa-core Dimensity 920 chipset which is also rumored to be powering the upcoming Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. In the memory department, it’ll be aided by up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage as well.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone could be backed by a 4,500mAh battery which retains the same 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging technology that was found in the past generation’s Reno series smartphones.
Design-wise, some of us might be glad to hear that the Reno7 5G could be retaining the flat edge design similar to what we saw on the current Reno6 5G device.
Just for reference purposes, the OPPO Reno7 5G was tipped with a price of 2,999 Yuan (US$466) and 3,299 Yuan (US$513) respectively for it’s 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants which might not be reflective of it’s actual launch price – so take them with a pinch of salt!
