Samsung had already kicked off the year with several notable smartphone launches including the Galaxy A32 5G and the latest Galaxy S21 flagship series. Right now, the Korean electronics giant is also said to be prepping a more affordable model which will be marketed either as the Galaxy M12 or the Galaxy F12.
Based on the latest information published by renowned tipster Ishan Agarwal, we’re able to learn a fair bit about this device ahead of its official launch. According to him, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M12/ F12 is expected to feature a modest 6.5-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel.
It is tipped to be powered by a mid-ranger Exynos 850 chipset which will be assisted by up to 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage in the memory department. As usual, its storage capacity can also be further expanded via a microSD card.
For photography, the Galaxy M12/ F12 relies on a quad camera system consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 5 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. This will be accompanied by an 8 megapixels camera upfront for selfies and video-calling purposes.
Keeping its lights on will be a massive 6,000mAh battery that easily provide you with around 1.5 days usage under moderate use. Other than the Galaxy M12/ F12, Samsung is also rumored to be working on an upper mid-ranger smartphone known as the Galaxy A82 5G which is expected to break cover in the South Korean market within the next couple of weeks.
