Although the Vivo V19 (review) is barely five-month-old, but the Chinese smartphone maker is now reportedly prepping a new successor for the device which will be marketed as the Vivo V20. This moniker will definitely ring a bell if you’ve been following the news as it was recently certified by various certification bodies.
Now, new information and even the official renders of the Vivo V20 had popped up as well. Like the current Vivo V19 smartphone, the upcoming V20 will retail the dual hole-punch design for its front panel.
According to reports, the primary shooter of its front-facing selfie cameras is expected to be a 44 megapixels sensor – an upgrade over the current 32 megapixels shooter. Although the specs of the secondary camera isn’t revealed, but its likely to be an ultra-wide lens.
Flipping the device over, we will see a rectangular camera housing which shares a really close resemblance to the recently announced Vivo S7 smartphone. In fact, even the paint job of the Vivo V20 seen in the renders are similar to what we’d saw on the Vivo S7 as well. This makes it really hard for us to distinguish between the two devices by looking at its back panel alone.
Likewise, the Vivo V20 also have a total of three cameras at the back with unknown specifications. While the device has one less camera at the back as compared to the current Vivo V19, but we do expect it to perform better than its predecessor.
Among the two renders leaked, the Gradient Blue variant has a 5G logo etched to the back of the device which the Black variant doesn’t have. This suggests that the Vivo V20 might be coming in both 4G and 5G models, or perhaps the 5G variant could be its “Pro” model.
That’s pretty much all the information available for this handset at the current stage. Hopefully, we’ll be able to hear more about them prior to its purported launch date in October.
