Vivo iQOO Pro goes official with both 4G and 5G variants

After such a long wait, the Vivo iQOO Pro has finally been made official in China today. As expected, the device will be available in both 4G and 5G variants.

Compared to it’s other siblings, the iQOO Pro is so far the most powerful smartphone in the family with loads of interesting features and upgrades including a new Monster Halo 2.0 lighting effect, Monster Touch, Monster UI, Hi-Fi sound system and support for 44W rapid charging to name a few.

Vivo iQOO Pro Design

In terms of design, the iQOO Pro offers a neat full-screen display with tiny bezels along it’s four sides. The front panel has a waterdrop notch which houses it’s selfie camera.

On it’s flip side, it’s shares the same design language as the current vanilla iQOO which features a triple-camera setup located at the top-left corner. It also has the same 3D glass back panel with carbon fibre texture which gives it a unique and elegant outlook.

As of now, the iQOO Pro is available in three color options including Le Mans Blue, Racing Black and Phantom Blue. However, we do expect Vivo to introduce more colors for the device in the near future.

Vivo iQOO Pro Specifications

The Vivo iQOO Pro comes with a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution. On the whole, the device had achieved a promising 91.7% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the iQOO Pro is driven by the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC which provide an incredibly smooth gaming experience with 4.2% faster CPU and 15% faster GPU performance. In it’s memory compartment, the device comes with up to 12GB worth of RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage (UFS 3.0).

Moving on to it’s camera, it’s triple camera setup comprises of a 48 megapixels (AI-driven) main snapper, a 13 megapixels wideangle sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. On the front panel, it’s waterdrop notch also houses a 12 megapixels (Dual-Pixel) selfie camera.

Beneath it’s back panel sits a 4,500mAh non-removable battery which supports 44W rapid charging which can refuels within a blink of an eye. Similarly, the device will also come loaded with Android Pie OS with the Monster UI sitting atop.

These powerful specs have collectively helped the device to achieve an incredible score of 497,179 points on AnTuTu – making it the best performing smartphone so far based on the benchmark scores.

Vivo iQOO Pro Pricing & Availability

The pricing for the iQOO Pro 4G LTE models are as follows:

  • 8GB+128GB : 3,198 Yuan (US$ 451)
  • 12GB+128GB : 3,498 Yuan (US$ 493)

The pricing for the iQOO Pro 5G models are as follows:

  • 8GB+128GB : 3,798 Yuan (US$ 535)
  • 8GB+256GB : 3,998 Yuan (US$ 563)
  • 12GB+128GB : 4,098 Yuan (US$ 578)

Currently, the device has already went on it’s debut sales in the Chinese market. However, Vivo has yet to spill the beans on on when the device will be available globally.
