Vivo is all set to announce their feverishly-anticipated Vivo NEX 3 flagship on September 16th, next week. Before the device has been made official, we’d already learned about most of it’s official key specs courtesy of it’s TENAA listing.
Today, even it’s real life images had made it’s way to Chinese Weibo, showing off the entire front and back design of the device. Indeed, we could see that it’s waterfall display panel has significantly reduced the size bezels which has became almost totally invisible. According to Vivo NEX’s product manager, the waterfall design has helped the device to achieve an incredible 99.6% screen-to-body ratio – the highest in the world so far.
On it’s back panel, there is circular module which houses three camera sensors including a 64 megapixels main snapper. In fact, the Vivo NEX 3 is one of the few flagship devices to adopt a circular camera housing which seems to give it a rather unique outlook. The upcoming Huawei Mate 30 and 30 Pro are few others which will sport a similar looking camera.
Recently, the Vivo NEX 3 had also been spotted on Geekbench with some impressive scores in terms of it’s overall performance. It has achieved a score of 3,627 points and 11,347 points for the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. This put it on par with the upcoming OnePlus 7T flagship.
Vivo NEX 3 Specifications
According to it’s official TENAA listing, the Vivo Nex 3 5G will arrive with a 6.89-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2256 pixels screen resolution. It has an overall footprint of 167.44×76.14×9.4 mm and weighs approximately 218.5 grams.
Under the hood, the device will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and has up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB onboard storage. Although many believed 12GB RAM is an overkill for smartphones, but that doesn’t seems to stop most flagship devices to be packed with hefty RAMs.
Moving on to it’s camera, the Vivo Nex 3 will have a triple-camera setup which comprises of a 64 megapixels main snapper, alongside a duo of 13 megapixels shooters which are believed to be ultra wide angle and telephoto lens respectively.
As expected, the device will also come with a 4,500mAh non-removable battery which supports 44W fast-charging out of the box.
