Vivo S30 Pro Mini could be in works with Dimensity 9400e, dual 50MP cameras

Vivo unveiled the Vivo X200 Pro Mini in October last year in China. The compact flagship phone, which became an instant hit in the home market, came equipped with a 6.31-inch OLED display, a Dimensity 9400 chip, triple 50-megapixel cameras, and a 5,700mAh battery with 90W charging. It debuted with a starting price of 4,699 Yuan ($645). There have been reports that Vivo is now working on an affordable S-series Pro Mini phone, which could be called the Vivo S30 Pro Mini. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed the key specifications of this device.

According to the tipster, the alleged Vivo S30 Pro Mini will feature a 6.31-inch flat 8T LTPO OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device may feature the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. However, DCS speculates that MediaTek may rebrand the chip as the Dimensity 9400e by the time the device releases in China.

The purported S30 Pro Mini will feature a large battery with 90W fast charging support. For photography, the device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel front camera and a dual 50-megapixel setup on the back. The rear setup will include a telephoto lens.

The Vivo S30 Pro Mini is likely to be joined by another model dubbed the Vivo S30. The device is likely to feature a regular 6.67-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.

The tipster did not mention the launch timeframe of the device. It is likely that the S30 series may go official in May in China.
