Previously, we’d heard that Vivo will be launching the all new Vivo S9 on March 6th in the Chinese market. What’s notable is that this device is tipped to be the first smartphone to feature the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset.
As we know, the Vivo S9 will be succeeding last year’s Vivo S7 smartphone which was eventually launched as the Vivo V20 Pro in the global market. Right now, an alleged promo poster leaked on Chinese Weibo has suggested that the upcoming Vivo S9 will sport a similar-looking rear design as the Vivo S7, and retains a triple-camera setup at the back.
The promo poster further revealed that the Vivo S9 will be arriving with a 44 megapixels selfie camera as the Vivo S7. Just like the Vivo S7, its 44 megapixels selfie camera is likely to be assisted by an ultra-wide lens for group selfies as well.
According to recent reports, there’s a possibility that the upcoming Vivo S9 is the Vivo V2072A smartphone which was recently spotted on Google Play Console. Other than the Dimensity 1100 chipset, the listing also revealed that the device will arrive with a FHD+ display, 12GB RAM and the latest Android 11 OS.
Likewise, the same device was also certified by the Chinese 3C authority with 33W flash charging support similar to the Vivo S7.
