After all the leaks and rumors, Vivo has finally confirmed that the much anticipated Vivo V23 series smartphones will be announced on January 5th next year. A landing page of the V23 series is now live on Vivo’s official website through which some of its key features have been revealed.
Vivo V23, V23 Pro Key Features
The V23 series landing page has confirmed that the lineup has two models such as Vivo V23 5G and Vivo V23 Pro 5G. The Pro model has a curved edge AMOLED display with a wide notch, which houses a pair of selfie cameras.
It will be India’s first 50-megapixel eye-autofocus enabled dual selfie cameras. For brighter selfie under dim-light conditions, it will feature a pair of dual-tone (cold light and warm light) soft-LED flash units.
The main selfie camera will be equipped with an ultrawide snapper, which will allow the V23 lineup to capture superwide selfie shots. The rear camera setup will include a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Rumors have it that the V23 Pro may arrive as a rebranded version of China’s Vivo S12 Pro, which debuted earlier this week.
The Vivo V23 on the other hand has a flat AMOLED display with a flat metal frame. It is unclear whether it features dual front-facing cameras. Rumors have it that it may come with a 64-megapixel triple camera unit. The V23 duo will feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The Dimensity 1200 chipset will power the Vivo V23 series along with 8 GB of RAM. It will also offer up to 4 GB of virtual RAM and support for 5G connectivity. Both phones will sport an ultra-slim design.
Other than that, the Chinese manufacturer also confirmed that the Sunshine Gold edition of the V23 and V23 Pro will feature a color-changing fluorite AG glass.
