Yesterday, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that Vivo will unveil the Vivo X Fold 2 and the Vivo X Flip foldable phones in the first half of 2023. Now, he is back with key specifications for the Vivo X Fold 2. Here’s what to expect from the original Vivo X Fold’s successor.
While the tipster did not mention the Vivo X Fold 2 moniker in the new leak, the specifications shared by him suggest that he is talking about Vivo’s next foldable phone. It appears that the X Fold 2 will be a lightweight foldable smartphone featuring a 2K resolution screen.
It seems that the cover and internal displays of the X Fold 2 will be equipped with ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. For photography, it will be equipped with a Sony IMX866 primary camera with OIS support.
Vivo entered the foldable phone market by launching the Vivo X Fold in the first half of this year. Later, it unveiled its enhanced version, called the Vivo X Fold+. It is speculated that, apart from launching the Vivo X Fold 2, the company will also unveil the Vivo X Flip and the Vivo Pad 2.
As per the rumors, the Vivo Pad 2 will be a high-performance device packed with flagship specs. The X Flip, on the other hand, will be the company’s first flip phone with a foldable screen. It is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The other specs of the X Flip are yet to be revealed.
