Vivo X Fold 3 series goes on sale, sales exceed 580M Yuan in a minute

Last month, Vivo unveiled the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones in China. Instead of launching just one device like it did in previous years, it unveiled two devices, namely Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively, power these devices. Both devices became available for purchase for the first time today. Shortly after making these devices available for purchase, the company took to its Weibo handle to confirm the first sale report.

According to Vivo, the Vivo X Fold 3 series achieves significant sales success, with transaction volume surpassing 580 million yuan within the first minute, marking an 800% increase compared to the previous generation. This accomplishment underscores strong user recognition and support for the product.

The Vivo X Fold 3 comes in three options, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage for 6,999 Yuan ($970), 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage for 7,499 Yuan ($1,035), 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage for 7,999 Yuan ($1,105), and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage for 8,999 Yuan ($1,245).

On the other hand, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro comes in options, such as 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. The prices of these variants are 9,999 Yuan ($1,385) and 10,999 Yuan ($1,520), respectively.

Based on the first sales report of the X Fold 3 series, it appears that the company may have sold around 73,640 units of the X Fold 3 and 55,295 units of the Pro model. In related news, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was recently listed in the database of Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform. This indicates that it could be the first foldable phone from the brand to debut in markets outside of China.
