Vivo is expected to announce its next generation of foldable phones, the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro, this month in China. A new leak states that the duo may launch in the last week of this month.
A new Weibo post by tipster Panda is Bald suggests that Vivo may hold a launch event on March 26, 27, or 28 to unveil the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3. The same event is likely to see the arrival of the Vivo Pad 3 and Pad 3 Pro.
The Vivo X Fold 2 was announced on April 26 last year and the Vivo X Fold+ was unveiled on Sept. 26, 2022. Hence, it is likely that the company may opt March 26 as the launch date for its new foldables and tablets.
Rumors are rife that the two tablets are equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (upcoming) and the Dimensity 9300 chip. It is also being said that since Qualcomm hasn’t announced the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip yet, the Pad 3 may not launch during the upcoming launch event. The brand is expected to hold another launch event in the second quarter of this year in China. The event is likely to see the arrival of the Vivo X100 Ultra and Vivo X100s smartphones. There is a possibility that Pad 3 may go official through the same event.
As per reports, the Vivo X Fold 3 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is said to arrive as the lightest and thinnest foldable phone. In addition, it is expected to carry an affordable price tag. On the other hand, the X Fold 3 Pro will be a premium device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
