Several reports have claimed that the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones will be announced in the last week of March. Today, a tech blogger from China released a poster to reveal the launch of the Vivo X Fold 3 series.
The poster reveals that the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones will be announced at 7pm (local time) on March 26 in China. The lineup will have two models, such as the Vivo X Fold 3 and the X Fold 3 Pro.
According to reports, the Vivo X Fold 3 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is likely to be one of the most affordable horizontally designed foldable phones. It is also said to be a lightweight device, weighing around 2200 to 230 grams.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is said to debut as the first-ever foldable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Both phones are said to have an 8.03-inch foldable screen and a 6.53-inch outer display, both integrated with ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensors.
Both phones are said to feature a 50-megapixel OV50H main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The back panel of the standard model may feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, while the Pro edition is said to have an OV64B periscope telephoto camera.
The X Fold 3 may feature a 5,500mAh battery with 80W charging, while the Pro model may have a 5,600mAh battery with 120W charging. The Pro variant is also said to offer 50W wireless charging The series is expected to ship with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
Reports have said that the Vivo Pad 3 Pro, featuring the Dimensity 9300, will also debut with the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro. The Vivo Pad 3, equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, is also said to be in the works. The said device may break cover in the second quarter of this year.
