Vivo X Fold Official Images Released, Here’s the First Look

Vivo X Fold will be unveiled along with the Vivo Pad on April 11 in China. While the Vivo Pad is Vivo’s first tablet, the X Fold is the company’s first foldable smartphone. Last week, it released the official renders to showcase the design of the Vivo Pad. The Vivo X Fold has a dedicated product page with official images on Vivo China’s website. The listing has also confirmed some of the key specs of the device.

The Vivo X Fold is expected to arrive in blue, crimson, and orange colors. However, the official images only showcase the blue edition of the X Fold. The device is equipped with a curved edge display on the front with a centrally positioned punch-hole. Opening the device reveals its foldable screen, which also features a top-centred punch-hole on the right half.

The left spine of the X Fold has a volume rocker and a power button, whereas its right edge has a button that looks like an alert slider. According to Vivo, the X Fold is equipped with an aerospace-grade floating wing hinge. The camera block available on the rear shell of the device has a quad-camera unit and an LED flash. Reports have claimed that the camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto snapper with support for 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo X Fold features a foldable AMOLED E5 screen that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform. Previous reports have claimed that the X Fold will come in two variants, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The foldable phone may house a 4,600mAh battery, which may carry support for 120W or 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
