Vivo X Fold Plus is in the works. It is believed to be an upgraded version of the original Vivo X Fold foldable phone, which debuted in the first half of 2022 in China. Rumors are rife that the X Fold Plus will debut by the end of September in the domestic market. Ahead of the expected launch, Vivo’s upcoming foldable phone has bagged approval from the TENAA authority in China.
The Vivo X Fold Plus’ TENAA listing is yet to be populated with its entire specifications. The listing reveals that it has as many as five cameras and a 2,300mAh + 2,300mAh dual-cell battery, which will offer a combined capacity of 4,600mAh (rated value). Its typical size could be 4,700mAh.
Vivo X Fold S images available at TENAA reveal that its cover display has curved edges. The images also give a good look at its inner foldable screen and the hinge. A rectangle-shaped camera block is available on the backside of the device. It houses a quad-camera unit along with an LED flash and ZEISS branding.
Vivo X Fold Plus Specifications (Rumored)
The Vivo X Fold Plus is expected to feature a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display that offers a Full HD+ resolution. On the inside, it will have an 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED screen with 2K resolution. Both displays will support a 120Hz refresh rate and have an ultra-sonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
The X Fold Plus will come with a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging. It will also support 50W wireless charging. It will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and its back panel will have a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX766V), a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 12-megapixel portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel periscope zoom lens. The X Fold Plus is expected to arrive in a new red color option.
