Vivo X100s likely to launch in May

Vivo will unveil the Vivo X Fold 3 series of foldable phones and the Vivo Pad 3 Pro tablet on March 26 in China. There are reports that the company is also working on another launch event for the home market. The event is expected to see the arrival of two devices, the Vivo X100s and the Vivo X100 Ultra. As per a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the X100s will be announced in May in China.

According to DCS, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset is tentatively scheduled to launch in May of this year. For those who don’t know, the Plus variant will be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300 chip that powers the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro.

The leaker claimed that the Cortex-X4 prime CPU core of the Dimensity 9300 Plus will work at 3.4GHz. The SoC will include an Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU working at around 1300MHz. Reports have claimed that the Vivo X100s and X100 Pro will be the first phones to feature the D9300+ chip. Therefore, it is likely that the X100s series will debut in May in China.

The leaker also stated that October of this year will see the debut of the Dimensity 9400 chipset. will feature a combination of Cortex-X5, Cortex-X4, and Cortex-A7 cores, forming a large core lineup. Additionally, there will be enhancements in cache and, making it a noteworthy release for new smartphone models. While the leaker has not mentioned it, it is likely that the X200 series may come equipped with the D9400 chip.

According to reports, Vivo is also developing the Vivo X100 Ultra, which will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It is unclear whether it will launch in April or May in China.
