Vivo is all set to launch the Vivo X80 series of smartphones on April 25 in China. The lineup will possibly include three models such as the Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and Vivo X80 Pro+ smartphones. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared the camera configurations of the X80 Pro to reveal its photography capabilities.
According to the Chinese tipster, the Vivo X80 Pro will be arriving with a 50-megapixel Samsung GNV lens with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor size as well as a bright f/1.57 aperture as the primary camera. It will be coupled with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 ultrawide lens with 1/2-inch sensor size, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 portrait lens with a 1/2.9-inch sensor, and an 8-mgeapixel Hynix Hi847 periscope ultra-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
Except for the ultrawide lens, the main and periscope snappers of the X80 Pro will carry support for OIS, whereas the portrait camera will support gimbal OIS. The Vivo X80 Pro will also feature the all-new V1+ ISP, glass-plastic lens, and ZEISS T* coating. With such top-notch camera specs onboard, the X80 Pro may end up grabbing the top spot in DxOMark’s mobile photography rankings.
Reports have revealed that the Vivo X80 Pro will arrive with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED E5 curved edge display. It is expected to carry support for a Quad HD+ resolution and come equipped with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Dimensity 9000 chipset is expected to power the Vivo X80 Pro with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The X80 Pro will arrive with a 4,700mAh battery and carry support for 80W fast charging. For selfies, it will be equipped with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 front-facing camera. The device runs on the Android 12 OS and OriginOS Ocean. It is expected to arrive with other specs such as a 4,300mm2 VC liquid cooling system, an IR blaster, NFC, an x-axis linear motor, dual stereo speakers, and an IP68 rating.
