Vivo has announced a new budget friendly smartphone known as the Vivo Y33T that’s targeted towards the entry-level segment of the smartphone market. Priced at INR18,990 (US$257), the Vivo Y33T appears to be a close competitor to the recently announced Realme 9i.
For starter, the Vivo Y33T features a 6.58” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution and 60Hz standard refresh rate. On top of that, there’s also a 16 megapixels front-facing camera to handle selfie and video calls.
On the rear side of the phone, it has a square-shaped camera module which houses a trio of camera including a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up shots.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y33T is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset which is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which supports expansion via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. As usual, the phone is shipped with FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
