Vivo Y12s 2021 announced with Snapdragon 439 chipset

Vivo has quietly announced a new smartphone known as the Vivo Y12s 2021 in the Vietnamese market which will be succeeding last year’s Y12s model.

For starter, the Vivo Y12s 2021 sports a 6.51” IPS LCD display that offers a decent HD+ screen resolution as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s dewdrop-notch upfront.

Around the rear side of the phone, there’s a rectangular camera housing which is home to a dual-camera setup that includes a 13 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels auxiliary camera.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y12s is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 439 chipset instead of the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset found in it’s predecessor. It will be paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

The phone draws power from a massive 5,000mAh battery with 10W standard charging speed. Finally, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the Vietnamese market, the Vivo Y12s 2021 is priced at VND 3,290,000 (US$143) for it’s 3GB+32GB model.
