Following the launch of the Vivo Y15s smartphone, Vivo is now back with another entry-level smartphone known as the Vivo Y15s in the Philippines where the phone carries an affordable launch price of just 7,999 Peso (US$160).
The Vivo Y15a builds around a 6.51” IPS LCD display that brings along a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfie and video calls.
On the rear side of the phone, it has a rectangular camera bump which houses a dual-cam array comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels super macro camera for close-up photography.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y15a is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Vivo Y15a draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh which lacks fast-charging support. Aside from that, it also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and will be shipped with Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11.
