Earlier on, we just reported that Vivo has announced a new Vivo V23e smartphone in the Vietnamese market. However, elsewhere in other Asian markets like Singapore, the company has also announced a new entry-level model known as the Vivo Y15s.
Like any other budget-friendly smartphone, the Vivo Y15s builds around a standard 6.51” IPS LCD display which offers a HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera. For biometric authentication, the phone opted for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an in-display one.
Flipping the phone over, we’ll be greeted by a rectangular camera bump which houses a dual-cam setup comprising of a 13 megapixels wide camera along with a 2 megapixels super macro camera.
At the helm, the Vivo Y15s is backed by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card. As usual, the phone does comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones as well.
To keep it’s lights on, the Vivo Y15s relies on a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W standard charging speed. Software-wise, you can expect the device to be shipped with Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 Go Edition out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y15s is available in both Mystic Blue and Wave Green colorways, and is priced at S$179 over at Vivo Official Store (Lazada).
