Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Full Specifications Leaked, Likely to Launch as Moto Edge X in China

Yesterday, the first teaser of the upcoming Moto Edge X flagship was released on Weibo. It is expected to debut as one of the first phones powered by Qualcomm’s forthcoming Snapdragon 898 (tentative name) chipset. Fresh information shared by Technik News reveals that the Edge X will debut in China by December and the same device will launch as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in Europe in January. The publication has shared all the major specifications of the smartphone.

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is expected to arrive as the successor to the Edge 20 Pro from this year. The handset is internally codenamed as ‘Rogue,’ while it is being called ‘HiPhi’ externally. Its model number is XT2201. The Chinese variant of the phone with model number XT2201-2 has passed 3C certification. It has been found through the 3C listing that this device may ship with a 68W fast charger.

The publication revealed that the Edge 30 Ultra has a 6.67-inch OLED FHD+ 144Hz display that offers HDR10+ support. It will be driven by the Snapdragon 898 chipset and 8 GB / 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The device will come in 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will offer a near-stock experience of Android 12. It will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The support for 68W fast charging will let the device gain 50 percent battery juice in 15 minutes a full charge in around 35 minutes, claims the report.

The Edge 30 Ultra will be blessed with a 60-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera unit of the phone will have a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50A lens as the primary camera, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN150 lens as an ultrawide snapper, and a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV20B1B depth assist lens. The Edge 30 Ultra offers other features like stereo speakers, three microphones, audio zoom function, a Google Assistant key, 5G (sub-5GHz), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and IP52 rating.

It will lack features like a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. There are no images of the phone available yet. Also, there is no information on its pricing.
