Vivo Y52s t1 Edition with Snapdragon 480 chipset launched in China

Back in December last year, Vivo announced the Vivo Y52s 5G mid-ranger smartphone which was powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 720 chipset. Now, the company has released a new variant of the smartphone known as the Vivo Y52s t1 Edition that’s powered by Snapdragon 480 chipset instead. Aside from the difference in its underlying chipset, the rest of its specs remain unchanged.

In terms of specs, the Vivo Y52s t1 Edition comes along with a 6.58-inches LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. Its front-facing selfie camera will be an 8 megapixels sensor housed within a dewdrop-notch.

For photography, the device has a dual camera system at the back consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter and a 2 megapixels bokeh lens. Of course, its quite unusual for a mid-ranger smartphone to feature a dual-cam setup in today’s market.

To keep its light on, the phone draws power from a massive 5,000mAh battery that comes with 18W fast-charging support. It will boot on the company’s proprietary FuntouchOS 10.5 based on Android 10. Aside from that, other notable features also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the Chinese market, the Vivo Y52s t1 Edition retails at 1,999 Yuan (US$309) for its 8GB+256GB model. Although there’s also a 8GB+128GB variant, but the company has yet to reveal the pricing for this variant.
