Vivo Y55 debuts with MediaTek Dimensity 700, 50MP triple cameras & 5,000mAh battery

Vivo has officially announced a new mid-range model known the Vivo Y55 5G in the Taiwanese market, where the company also recently announced the brand new Vivo V23 5G.

The Vivo Y55 5G builds around an 6.58” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution along with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. For selfie and video calls, the phone also features an 8 megapixels front-facing camera as well.

At the back, it has a rectangular shaped camera island which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y55 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone will be backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The phone as usual, will be shipped with FuntouchOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.

For those who’re interested, the Vivo Y55 5G is available in both Black and Blue colorways. It will be priced at NTD7,990 (US$290) in the Taiwanese market for it’s 4GB+128GB trim.
