Vivo has officially announced a new mid-range smartphone known as the Vivo Y55s in the Chinese market where the phone carries an affordable launch price of 1,699 Yuan (US$267).
For starter, the Vivo Y55s features a 6.58” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels front-facing camera that helps with selfie and video calls.
On the rear side, the phone has a rectangular camera bump which is home to a dual-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up photography.
Under the hood, the Vivo Y55s is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery which brings support for 18W fast-charging. Other than that, it also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and will be shipped with OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
